Very insightful, thank you. For the most part, I am ok with my current set up but during a 16% climb a few weeks ago, I was wishing for a lower gear. i bought the bike used and I am slowly replacing things that will either make the bike look better or items that are being worn out.
Plug the numbers into a gearing calculator (or do the simple math) and you'll quickly find out how much of a difference any change you are contemplating will make.
