Let's not argue here about whether spinning does or doesn't exert energy. I just got done reading a bunch of material on body and muscle kinetics. Good information available.

The fact remains though that we do exert more energy, in general, working a fixed versus a geared bike. I think we all agree on that. Thanks folks!
