Well, it is, but in the world of road bikes, there can be a $1000+ difference between a 17.8 lbs and a sub 17 lbs bike.

I am familiar with metric, and it is quite easy to find bikes above 8 kg (aka the CAAD12 at 8.1kg) , but the bikes below 8kg all seem to be significantly more expensive.

I agree though, the CAAD12 is pretty light for its price.
