I want to try a quality saddle but cost is an issue. I used the SQ labs sit bones measurement kit and it looks like my measurement is 14cm, so I want to find a saddle that is that size. I notice a lot of saddles don't give the size.
I did find this one,
https://www.amazon.com/Ergon-SMC4-Sa...KKS&th=1&psc=1 , which says the large is for sit bone size 13-15.
Anybody have any experience with that model?
We must have warned you about those wide, soft saddles. Tough call, but some trial and error should yield better results. I swear by my Brooks B17, but I realize that is a big leap of faith to spend over $100, plus a breaking in period of at least a few weeks to months so the leather can shape to your posterior, as well has having to be careful about getting caught out in the rain.
All that said, Brooks has been making saddles for over 100 years. Not many cycling items that exists, more or less unchanged for over a century, so they must be doing something right. And, you could easily spend just as much or more on a modern, plastic saddle.
