Going by a local bike shop's measurement of sit bones, I entered all my data (I measured in at 13.5) into the Ergon website. This was one of the suggestions, which I eventually purchased: Ergon SMC4-L Comp Gel Saddle: Large
My problem was pain especially in the sit bone areas.
At first ride, I thought the saddle was hard/rigid, and I was sure things were going to hurt after a mere 5 mile ride. Didn't happen. No pain.
Okay,
I'm pretty sure it's going to happen after 1 week. Still rigid, but still... NO PAIN.
So I took it to the 30 day mark.
Hey, this saddle ain't so bad after all!
I've mounted the saddle on road bike, and it's worked in different positions on the handlebars. I also temporarily turned a full suspension mountain bike into a comfort bike, so I've used the saddle while sitting fully vertical.
I am now taking it to 6 months of riding on this Ergon SMC4-L Comp Gel. At this point, I do intend to make sure that the same model Ergon is on the new bike I might be purchasing by the end of year.
I did give a 5 star review on my Ergon on Amazon awhile back. Since I didn't purchase the saddle through them, they must've conveniently lost my review.
Good luck on your next saddle.
