Contador is past his prime. Even his great effort on Stage 13 I think, showed that he really doesn't have it any more. Too many crashes. Too many this year, too many in prior years. he has to feel like his fate does not include another TdF win.

I feel like he spent everything to get a stage win (he knows he will never make the podium) and still couldn't keep up with the youngsters. I dearly loved watching him go today, though.
Contador is past his prime. Back in the days of his duels with Schleck, I didn't favor him, but as the years go by I appreciate his tenacity and desire. Alberto tiene corazon.
