You a 58cm frame size? If so, this frame and fork is $285.

Or if you are about a 60cm frame there is this complete bike for under $600. Versatile.

These are all frames made with Founderland(company in Asia) steel.

Ill toss out an option that i have- black mountain cycles. The frame and fork is $595, but its a heat treated cromoly that is butted thinner than a Surly Crosscheck. The heat treat means it can be thinner guage and still plenty strong. All that means a lighter frame.
The monstercross frame can fit tires up to 50mm, is 130mm spacing in the rear(im guessing your wheelset is 130?), has 3 bottle cage mounts, has front and rear rack mounts, and the fork crown is awesome.

Its a seriously versatile bike. You could load it up and bikepack, or just toss some wide tires on and ride the firetrails.
