Or if it's a decent price for a decent chrome fork maybe the "753 of it" doesn't really matter...
Well.... I was almost too pissed off to come back on here and explain how the other shoe dropped on this transaction...especially considering my lengthy questions and terrific advice you guys gave me.... After the sale, the seller looked over the forks and realized they were stamped "531" and NOT "753", despite the sticker saying otherwise.... He was deceived by the dealer he bought them from as well and was rightly upset himself... I told him I wanted a refund because I was upset but maybe I should have just tried to haggle him down a bit.... Any thoughts? I thought $180 shipped for a 753 fork that was NOS was worth it because its rare and would fit the era of my frame quite well... Is a regular 531 worth it you think? I suppose I could go back to him and see if he'd do a price drop... He said it was light fork.... I guess I could see if he could try to weigh it for me... any idea what a "light" 531 would even be at that size? That's way outside my realm... Might have to check weight weenies for opinions on that...
