Not so much sizing, just fit. I've got a legit (not Chinese knockoff) Giordana jersey they give out at a mass ride I do that is skin tight at XXL. Had to mark XXXL on the form this year. I still fit into most L t-shirts in Europe, though.
Worst case too, it becomes wall decoration for the bike garage/cave.
