Good morning! I have a copy of "The Bicycle Wheel" by Jobst Brandt here that I will be reading but I'm seeking some guidance for a DIY wheelset. I'll be using this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/SUNTOUR-BICYCLE-...QQcmdZViewItem rear hub, combined with this:
http://www.speedgoat.com/product.asp...t=260&brand=71 rim. These will be the parts for the rear wheel. The hub is 32 hole. For the front wheel, I'll be using the same DT Swiss rim but in 36 hole and this hub:

They will be 3 cross with DT Swiss double butted spokes or maybe another brand if they're equally good and I can find them cheaper. I have an older Park "consumer" truing stand that has a lot of shortcomings such as no automatic dishing but I can work around these issues since I'm just building this set for myself and there are no time constraints.
I downloaded an excel spreadsheet called "Spocal", but it looks tech-y and I'm a little intimidated....
Thanks for any replies....
