I guess I was thinking more along the lines of gravel races. I can't imagine using road shoes and pedals for something like the LandRun 100, where's there's a good chance of mud, is a smart idea. But I guess for normal everyday gravel riding it couldn't hurt. I think I would miss the ability to walk around easier though..
