I'm using Garmin Vector 2 pedals, so Keo cleats. They work great on the bike. Can get all gunked up if I have to stop in mud. Try not to do that. It's been kind of inconvenient at times, but it works. You can usually clear them enough to clip back in by stomping the ground a few times.
