If you're worried about the lifespan of aluminum, consider that B-52 wings are made of aluminum, are over 50 years old and flex like hell in turbulence.
FWIW, all military aircraft are periodically inspected for cracks and repaired if needed. It's not unusual for wing spars, ribs, and skin to be replaced. The aviation world knows that aluminum has a finite lifespan and is very cautious.
