I was looking at bikes for my fiance. You can get a Giant in that price range and they are quality. My fiance wanted a new bike but she doesn't really want to spend the money until she feels as though she will ride it often so I did the looking. Giant has two models for around $300-350. They look legit for the price. I would never get a bike at a department store unless it was dirt cheap.
