I was confused about a narrow bar fixie thread in 2017 until I saw the older posts and realized that the world has seemingly moved on from hipsters on fixies.

They're popular with lads of about 12-16 here in Korea these days, and I actually read a wonderful blog post by an SF Randonneur the other day, about riding a fixed Rivendell Quickbeam in a brevet from the Golden Gate to a lighthouse somewhere. His bike sounded wonderfully pure in terms of bicycle DNA.

The hipster urban fixie thing may be a bit over in 2017 but fixed gear riding is stillgoing strong it seems, just in new--and old-- ways.
