What's going on with my chamois? Leaving cuts.

I'm a little dumbfounded, as I'm suddenly having an issue with some bibs (I have a few pair of the same brand/model) that never gave me any problems previously, wherein they're leaving two paralleling "cuts" in the round contoured shape of the chamois right on my sit bone. It's not a saddle sore (not rounded like a boil), but a pair of actual thin, semi-rounded lines about 2 inches long in the exact shape of the chamois; and it never happens on both cheeks...always one or the other. I sweat fairly heavily, and I just assumed initially that my sweat was crystalizing and rubbing me wrong in the car, like sand in the chamois, but it also happens on short rides where I never stop, walk straight in the door, peel them off and get in the shower. I could toss the bibs, but unfortunately, I'd have to buy a whole new closet of kits. To answer what will undoubtedly be the first question, no, I don't use any chamois butter...have never needed it with these or any other bibs before, so I'd rather solve the problem head-on than band-aid it (no pun intended).
