I had meant to see if the boats were still there (had appeared abandoned). Having a boat 10 miles up the trail would have been a lot easier than packing them up, but unfortunately a forest fire went through that area, and there was no sign of them the next time I looked.

I hope those folks had another way out if they weren't actually abandoned.
