After nearly 20 years, I finally rode my Raleigh Super Course. I bought it new in 1985, rode it for a year, and then bought a Specialized Rock Hopper and ended up riding that and a Cannondale mountain bike ever since. I don't really know why I never rode my road bike but I'm sure glad I kept it. I rode it 5 or so miles today and absolutely loved it. It is so much more effortless than the fat tired mountain bikes. Anyway, thanks to this site for getting me motivated to ride road bikes once again! The weather was in the mid 50s today and perfect for riding. I can't wait to go on another ride in the morning. Two of my sons recently got road bikes and we're looking forward to riding together.
