Yarmouth Clamfest went well for me. Ended up getting away with the W.

The race is interesting because every lap there is a multi place prime. Laps are ~3.6 miles, last 1k starts at the bottom of a climb, climb crests at 500 to go, last 500 is essentially downhill. Total of 10 laps and total mileage of about 37?

I basically attacked until I got into a medium sized break (9 from a ~50 person field). We punch and counter punch for a while. Eventually one guy makes a move to get one of the lap primes, I jump on his wheel and pip him for it, look back and there is a gap. We just go into the 2 man TT team mode, agree to split primes. This is with about half the race to go so we just drill it, build up a 45 second lead by the last lap.

Little did I know this dude is a 3 (When I find this out after the race I am floored). And as such he doesn't understand how to play tactics at the end of a race, so when we get into "play games mode" I refused to pull through before the hill and he simply towed me up it and practically lead me out into the sprint. After the race he said "I didn't want them to catch us, I just want points for my 2." Both me and his teammates tell him that a 45 second gap in this race is huge and he should have played more games. Makes me feel a little bit like an ass for not realizing how new he was and telling him that he should start to play games and not just tow me because he was afraid the 40 second gap would dissolve in 20 seconds.
Solid win, congrats!

No shame in your competitor not knowing what to do, doesn't make the win any less sweet.
