Are you using some sort of chamois creme? If so, maybe it's get an ingredient that's causing a problem?

I've used a few different ones and am currently using 'Bag Balm' which is basically an A&D ointment meant for cow udders and/or farmer hands. It's a bit greasy, but it costs about 10X less than the more directly branded stuff and seems to work just as well. YMMV.
