I should have said "Chinese-made products ..." Many parts for the bikes were sourced from the mainland. Litepro is based in Taiwan, however. The only source for a replacement 5 or 6-speed freewheel these days is ultimately the Chinese factories that continued making them after Shimano dropped them.

My restoration project was stalled until I discovered the Aliexpress website, so I mention that for people thinking of doing some work on an old Dahon.[/QUOTE]
