I do mainly bike commuting. So far no racing, although I've considered some TTs, but the competition is FAST.
My rides vary, but a typical RT day is about 30 to 35 miles, and sometimes as high as 50 miles. But, maybe only 4 days a week or so during the summer.
I find the Strava 800 miles per month distance challenges to be challenging, but not to bad for busy months, perhaps adding a couple of century rides.
This month I banged up my knee, and had a bit of a slow month, and am hitting just over 500 miles.
I'll occasionally hit 400 to 500 mile weeks. Those are hard weeks, but I don't think I'd really want to do that every week.
It looks like I got just under 6000 miles last year. I had a bit of a slow spring, but am on target for just over 6000 miles this year, I think.
