I usually apply a light coating of baby powder on my lower back to help prevent sweat moving about prior to ride. Usually wear cotton briefs under quick dry Under Armour shorts. Seams and other rubbing issues not really a problem, I think it is just sweat creeping in where it is not supposed to be be. I guess if one was to buy specific bike shorts that are made of moisture wicking fabric, apply a liberal dose of baby powder, and one of the anti chafing creams in appropriate areas should be good to go. Going to investigate what LBS has for shorts and probably go that way. Thanks to all who responded.
