If you are ever in st. louis, Mo on busoiness or visiting family right across the river in Madison County, Illinois is 130 miles of some of the finest laid out paved trails you can possibly find. They are broken down into 7-8 interconnected trails that range from 8 miles up to 30 miles or so. No motorized vehicles allowed and except for crossing a road now and again there is no contact with automobiles or motorcycles. Strictly running, walking and cycling. They are mostly flat but this is Illinois so the wind will make you work. Check it out if ur ever in the area. Some of the rides go all the way out to small farm villages out on the Prairie. Enjoy.
