More seriously than my last post, let me say that raising the levers and bringing them backwards on the bar curves can be useful. Sometimes, depending upon the actual bar shape, it can be to no avail. Sliding the levers up and back on the curves of the bars can, SOMETIMES, negate the rolling of the bars forward and still leave the levers hard to reach in the drops. The whole thing can be a delicate fine tuning exercise. Hey, wait. Isn't that what Maelochs said? Son of a gun! Who knew?
