I've been asking her questions and showing her bikes, thanks for all the examples!
She's gravitating towards either a drop bar converted MTB, or a road bike with matched 650 wheels. The Terry's and Terry styled bikes just look wrong to her.
That Nishiki she likes, and the '83 Cannondale too. And We've been looking at possible MTB's. Mixte's are also a possibility, but a higher end one will take a little time.
She'd like a traditional looking bike with a smaller wheel set if possible and if that doesn't work the fall back is the MTB and Mixtes. So the very small wheelers Bromptons etc. aren't desirable to her.
I'm going to measure the Miyata and get the Trek set up as closely as possible, and look for shorter cranks. At the same time keeping an eye out for the dream bike.
She wants something zippy and light but still stable. So the NFS and the Cannondale seem to be good candidates. I wonder about converting an old Cannondale ST to 650b wheels. It would be light fast and stable.
