I built up a bike on a made to measure frame, and while it's very nice, it didn't turn out to be the transformative magic carpet ride I'd hoped - it didn't turn out to be a portal to a whole new dimension of riding pleasure. So maybe I was slightly disappointed, but I certainly don't regret it; I still love it.
The frame was built from the coordinates of a Retul fit result. The fit was done by the builder. He changed my position over the BB and reach. Essentially a stack/reach change. I rode this fit for 7mo. but not really comfortable with the position and ride. Even after a couple of 100mi plus rides. I've since changed components to my other bikes fit coordinates and it's improved but not appreciably better. My go to bike is still the off the rack bike.
