Every C/L market is different. In mine, you could not sell that bike for the above price. My market just doesn't value the nicer vintage stuff. So to get "fair market value" in my case means selling on ebay. Of course, ebay means you have to pay all the fees and be willing to pack and ship at a reasonable cost.

So in my market, on the nicer stuff I tend to be a buyer rather than a seller.

Please don't confuse ebay "asking" prices with "selling" prices. Many sellers never get their ask price. some are far from it. Value is determined once an item actually SELLS. Its easy enough to check SOLD prices.
