What is it about somebody else wanting to buy a bike with disc brakes that makes you want to post “no ur dum” in his thread? Not just you specifically, a lot of people. If you don’t know the answer (to which non-gravel bikes take discs and feel racy?) why the need to come in and announce that you feel like the question is wrong?
I'm not trying to pick a fight here, but I went back and read the original post. Frankly, I feel like all of the discussion here has been on topic. The OP specifically asked: "Has anyone experienced the new crop of light, disc brake equipped road bikes? What have you ridden? What did you think?"

People chiming in to say, essentially, that they have ridden them, but were underwhelmed, or not needed for typical riding, would IMO certainly fall within the category of relevant discussion. And again...that's not even my view. I think they're a nice addition if you constantly ride in crappy weather.
