I've got some sugino single ring bolts and have a question. The bolts are plenty long enough but the nuts are only as long as my spider, so they don't protrude into the ring at all.

I was always under the impression that you wanted the ring to be somewhat supported by the nut (though obviously it needs to be short enough to tighten down).

Is my current setup fine?
