In practice the rack does weight almost nothing (looks heavy but isn't) and you can leave it on the luggage instead of on the bike - after all it is a Klick-Fix-mounted thing. Unklicking the whole rack is in many cases quicker than to unstrap the load. Just sayin - I've done this when using backpacks on it, letting the backpack-straps facing away from the rack. But clearly a dedicated Klickfix-backpack looks better and may be more practical, depending on your usage scenario.
