We've already seen how disc wheels impose a meager 50 gram penalty over the same wheels with a brake track.
Cervelo's R5 weighs
less (frame + fork) with disc than rim brakes. The disc frame saves 19 grams, erasing almost half the paltry difference in wheel weight. Total weight penalty comes to about 3/4 pound.
