The Cateye Strada Cadence CC-RD200 is still available. If you like wireless, the Strada Digital Wireless CC RD410-DW is a nice little computer. Not a lot of frills and features I do not use.
The Padrone Smart is what I am using currently.
I have the wireless one, and for speed and cadence and heart rate it worked well enough and was priced better than anything else that would do cadence. The display is small and it's not backlit, but it's great for what it is. If you ever move up to a GPS you won't be able to use the sensors from it though.
