The difference was really surprising. The added weight and resistance was negligible but the added comfort was really remarkable given that it was only 3 mm. It was super plush, like riding a mid-70's Cadillac.

Sign me up! Big tire life is fine with me. I want to squeeze a pair of 38 or 40s on my bike. But my next tire purchase is good cross tires.
Yesterday I did 34 miles with 2,547 ft of elevation and ate vegetarian the whole day.
Today I was hungry.
