Pretty rare goatheads are talked about in the context of tires and tubes. Do you live in a farming community? Are we speaking of mounted goatheads? Perhaps why it doesn't come up because very few would ever consider having a mounted goathead say over the fireplace. Big game is another story. Quite rare.
What's strange to me is that my whole life, I've known them as "bullthorns," and it wasn't until joining this forum I had ever heard them referred to as goatheads. I just use goatheads on here because it seems to be the term everyone uses. Maybe mine is more regional? Either way, same plant, still sucks.
