I'm sort of an anti-drug, straight edge sort. Of the school of thought that one should endeavor to fix the problem and not mask the symptoms. Probably not much of a shock there. Of course, somethings should indeed be medicated, but if one is self medicating sleep with OTC stuff it's probably worth a healthy round of exploration. Stress management stuff etc.
Wouldn't that weed stuff belong in the ride clean thread?
As far as the diet stuff goes it would probably be an obvious recommendation to do a better job of balancing out your calories a bit more throughout the day, or at least part of the day. And if you're still in need of something to chew on make it be healthy stuff...carrots, celery, pop corn. Low calorie stuff. And work at breaking that habit. I've woken up hungry earlier in this diet thing but just sort of muscled through it. Cost me a night or two of not great rest, but for me at least the up and down thing would be just as tiresome.
