I have read that Fred Deeley started importing Kuwahara frames and branding them as Apollo in 1964.

Here is a Deelite Apollo from 1967, as dated from Shimano and Takagi components.

After replacing the BB spindle and cottered crankset it still weighs in at 30 lbs.
