So, even though a broken tooth has kept me up pretty much all of the past two nights I thought it was a good idea this morning to finally finish up the Opus III. I had to swap out the bad fitting, but new, Cane Creek hoods for some old, but decent, Dia Compe hoods. That part went ok... I thought. Then I got out the Fizik synthetic leather tape to match the leather saddle. Here's where things started to go bad. I did an OK job on one size but left too much gap by the brake lever. Then the other one was even worse. Just couldn't get the brain working. Decided to take the bike out for a leisurely ride and 4 miles into the ride I realized I had really messed up. No more working on a bike when I'm dead tired and aching....

I did ride 43 miles with it like this. No big deal but still...
