The power outage proved to be user error. Oh well. And, speaking of user error, one of the reasons I decided to switch to aero levers is to improve braking. I've tried everything, including changing out cables, pads, calipers. It improves for a bit and then drops off. Just now, as I was removing the old cables, I physically couldn't pull the rear cable out of the housing, even using both hands. So it goes. It's a good thing I prefer aero levers anyway.
