My Peloton is very responsive in the front and the Vueltas made her twitchy and flighty over crappy and choppy pavement. The responsive Conti tires mostly likely also didn't help. I run Mavic MA2's and Vittoria Open Corsas and that combo keeps her calm while not diminishing any performance.

Vueltas are on my MAX-framed Marinoni with super tight geometry. It takes no guff from crappy pavement yet manages to stay just on this side of harsh/too harsh. I just did some component swapping in pursuit of a recent build, and now have an available pair of Open Corsas that I'm going to swap onto it (heavy Serfas Seca FPS 25mm tires are currently mounted) and see how they do. My '86 C'dale SR500 may ride better!
Yep, I've tried 3 sets of rims on this bike. It's just inherently stiff and that translates into more harshness on the road than a lot of my other rides. Not a big deal as I decided a while ago that this bike will only be used for faster shorter rides due to it's design. It is what it is. One day I'll treat myself and take this across the mountains and do a ride on smooth pavement with it.
