Ask the Cannondale dealer if they would take $400? Other than the fork material, they are similar bikes (tires can be replaced).

I am the same height (~210lbs) and had a Trek 7.2 with cromoly fork that worked great. When I bought a gravel bike I gave it to my dad (6'1"; ~280lbs) to ride around and it suits him well. It was my 4th hybrid (all bought used) and it was my favorite of the bunch.
