It does have a coaster brake which I don't love but have learned to live with. And the front brake came installed. I think I payed a few bucks from the place I bought it from to send it tuned, although not that much to do with a single speed, and with the brake on. I'll post pics when I get a chance.
And I went ahead and ordered the 1.95's. The bike is too much fun to be mad at!
