I have one of the single sided extensions that I used for my phone mount. My one issue with it was that the mounting bar is a small diameter and so many bike mount clamps have to be able to go up to the largest of handle bars. Having to use spacers to get the clamp down small enough to tighten up on the extension looks pretty bad IMO. I know my bars are 31.8 and I'm guessing the diameter of the mounting bar on the extension to be about 22.2. One of my phone mounts just went down to 25.4 and I had to use a section of inner tube to on the bar to get it to tighten up.

Just something to think about if the ascetics is a factor for you.
