Chrous is only ~40 grams heavier than Dura-Ace, so Mr. Campy-guy bristles when you compare Record and Dura-Ace, he claims it isn't fair, that Record is in a league all its own. I've owned Record and Dura-Ace bikes (although not 10S Dura-Ace, though I have ridden it). I just prefer Campy for the way the shifters work, and the "Campy wears in, Shimano wears out" thing, which is accurate. I'm running a Centaur Rear Derailleur on my TT bike and it shifts very well. Campy is rumored to be introducing a new BB/crank setup. I'm currently running a Chours Carbon crank with Phil Ti BB. I bought the Chours model for the reason mentioned above. The brakes and derailleurs on Record are functionally the same as Chours as mentioned above. Just a few bits of titanium and carbon make the groupset lighter. Really not necessary unless you are rich or already at 5% body fat, and/or just need/want 'the best.'
