I forgot about this bike where I kept the Zefal clamps away from the decalry by fitting short bottles at either end of the DT decal:




And this one, where I used the Minoura standoff mount to secure a sturdy cage to 1" tubing:




I don't much like carrying a Camelback, so I maxed out this recent bigger-wheeled bike's water storage with an offset, behind-the-post mount:
