Thanks for all the posts everyone. I've been searching around on craigslist and ebay and have found some interesting bikes.

What is everyone's opinions on 1990's/2000's Litespeed/Airborne/Merlin Ti bikes? I'm finding some good looking ones in the San Fran. area but that would require a 5 hour, one-way trip. 4 hours to Reno/Tahoe (or more to most everywhere else). Some good stuff in Sacramento too.

I checked C&V sales for that Schwinn. Is it the 60cm? I'll have to do some ebay searches for group sets or parts to price what it would cost to build everything out. At the start, that seemed like a good idea. Now it seems like it might just be best to buy a complete bike.
