I'm currently just outside Sonora, Kentucky on the TransAM route heading to Yorktown, Virginia. My objective from the start was to go coast to coast, not necessarily the complete the TransAM route. I need to make-up time and miles because of weather and my target date of September 17th is fast approaching. I'm considering going off route to possibly make up time but finding the most appropriate route is a challenge and I'm not sure if it would actually save me time. Anyone else gone off route for similar reasons? What were the results? Any feedback would be appreciated!
