i stay away from wrist straps and fitness trackers for hr. they generally work off of an optical sensor that looks at the blood flow in your wrist. the are subject to lag due to the blood having to be pumped down to the arm to note the change and are less accurate than a chest strap with electrical connectors. I started using gel, found it on amazon cheap, made a huge difference.
