Yesterday I served as a marshal on the NYC Century ride. I volunteered for the 55-mile route but somehow missed a turn and ended up on the 75 mile route! I'm sore. I napped after getting home and then took a hot bath. I actually don't enjoy hot baths much, but I knew it would do me good. This morning, I took ibuprofen and feel much better. I didn't ride, as my wife asked me to bring her car in for repair, and I use a garage near work. Traffic was surprisingly good and not irritating. Driving a car in NYC is supremely annoying.

At this point, I'm feeling so good I wish I were riding today. That's a good recovery, eh? I'm still apprehensive about riding Hillier Than Thou on Sept 24. I haven't done anything like it.

The amount I've been eating is astonishing and even a little bit disgusting.
