makes it look like its a lot of short and fairly steep stuff. The course profile looks like what my heart rate would be during the event. Do you know how much total climbing for the day?

Edit: Am thinking that I'd prolly be whacked using my 39x27 and would have to throw on the compact crank to get the bailout gears.
The 100 mile route has 12,000 ft of climbing, and the 100km route has 7,000 ft. I'm a fool, but I'm not a supreme fool, so I'm doing the 100km route. Still not sure how I'll do.

My butt has recovered very well since yesterday's ride. It was hurting. I think all the miles I've been putting in, on hills and on flat ground, have helped.
